During a ceremony held at the premises of the Arab League general secretariat in Cairo, Tunisia’s Ambassador in Cairo and Permanent Delegate to the Arab League ratified on behalf of Tunisia, the statutes of the Arab Environment Fund.

Dr. Mohamed Al Twaijri, Arab League Deputy Secretary General for Economic Affairs took part in the event during which he hailed President Ben Ali for his pioneering initiatives in the comprehensive environmental approach to  preserve natural resources in Tunisia, boost the process of sustainable development, secure the attributes of a decent life to all Tunisians and reinforce the right of future generations to a sound environment.
