Goumbook’s MENAT Regenerative Agriculture Venture Programme – Cohort 2024-2025 – Top 10 Finalists

Goumbook, a leading social enterprise driving sustainability and climate action across the MENAT region, has announced the Top 10 finalists of the MENAT Regenerative Agriculture Venture Programme, selected by the Judge Evaluation Committee.

Goumbook, a leading social enterprise driving sustainability and climate action across the MENAT region, has announced the finalists for the second cohort of the MENAT Regenerative Agriculture Venture Programme. Launched in partnership with Saudi Awwal Bank and HSBC Bank Middle East and supported by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) Food and the Climate Champions Team, the programme has garnered unprecedented global interest.

The programme aims to empower and upskill researchers, scientists and entrepreneurs, who are addressing fundamental agricultural challenges of the MENAT region. These solutions address pressing issues such as food security, soil health, water scarcity, climate resilience, carbon sequestration, salinity, biodiversity loss, desertification and rural social welfare.

The Top 10 Finalists will embark in a transformative learning journey within Bootcamp 2 with subject matter- lead talks & workshops, with additional mentorship 1-1 sessions. The sessions are aimed at developing entrepreneurship skills to help bridge research-based regenerative agriculture solutions into the entrepreneurial space, and scale for impact.

Bootcamp 2 will conclude with the top 10 finalist teams traveling to Riyadh on May 15 to participate in the inaugural MENAT Regenerative Agriculture Summit. Prior to the summit, our esteemed Judge Evaluation Committee will select the top 5 solutions, which will be invited to pitch live on stage in front of key stakeholders from across the MENAT region. Additionally, all 10 finalists will have the opportunity to present their solutions during Demo Day, held as part of the summit. Following these live pitches, the judging committee will select the three winners of the programme’s inaugural grant awards. These grants are designed to support the selected scientists and entrepreneurs in advancing their proof of concept, further developing their solutions, and scaling their research for greater impact.

The overwhelming response to this year’s cohort demonstrates the need for programmes such as the MENAT Regenerative Agriculture Venture Programme, to bridge the gap between scientific research and real-world implementation, positioning the MENAT region as a global hub for climate-resilient agriculture.
